We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revDSG) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

3. Personal data we process

Contact & offer requests: name, company, email, phone and any details you provide via the configurator or when contacting us.
Server log data: IP address, browser type and time of access, collected automatically for security and operation.
Customer platform & camera data: for customers, images and event data captured by Arclap systems, processed to deliver the service.

4. Purposes & legal bases

We use this data to respond to enquiries, prepare offers, provide and administer our services, ensure security and comply with legal obligations. The legal basis is your consent, performance of a contract, our legitimate interests or a legal requirement.

5. Hosting & data location

Service data — including images captured by Arclap systems — is stored on servers in Switzerland (AWS Zürich Region), encrypted and access-controlled.

6. Cookies & local storage

This website sets no marketing or advertising cookies. Besides the technical storage needed for the site to function (e.g. your language choice), we use Google Analytics 4 for anonymous reach measurement — see section 7.

7. Web analytics (Google Analytics 4)

To understand how our website is used and to improve it, we use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to analyse the use of the website.

IP anonymisation is active: your IP address is truncated by Google within the EU/EEA before any further processing, so no direct conclusions about your person are possible. We have configured Google Consent Mode so that advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalisation are disabled by default — the data is used solely for aggregated reach statistics (pages viewed, approximate region, device type, referring source).

Data may be transmitted to servers of Google LLC in the USA. Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; transfers are additionally covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the needs-based design and continuous improvement of our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; Art. 31(1) revDSG).

Your objection options: you can prevent the collection of your data by Google Analytics at any time with the browser add-on available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or by using your browser's "Do Not Track" setting or a content blocker. Analytics data is retained for a maximum of 14 months and then deleted automatically. Further information: Google Privacy Policy.

8. Disclosure to third parties

We share personal data only where necessary to deliver our services — for example with our alarm-response partner Certas AG and with hosting providers acting as processors on our behalf. We do not sell personal data.

9. Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the stated purposes or as required by law. Site documentation and images are archived for the contractually agreed period (up to five years where selected). Security event recordings are kept for up to 30 days unless needed as evidence. Contract and billing records are retained for 10 years under Swiss law (Art. 958f CO); enquiry data for up to 12 months; technical server logs for up to 6 months. Thereafter, data is deleted or anonymised.

10. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification and deletion of your data, and to restrict or object to processing and to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact info@arclap.ch. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
